Known for her quick intelligence and moxie, Tonya Lockyer has become a Seattle dance community luminary, working as a choreographer, dancer and teacher since moving here 10 years ago. Consumed offers an intimate, funny and moving portrait of this intriguing personality as she moves easily between mismatched stories, pop songs and video to reflect on 20 years of performance making. Over her career, Lockyer has studied with Merce Cunningham, Rachel Rosenthal, Meredith Monk and performed with Donald Byrd and Paula Josa-Jones. She is an adjunct instructor at Cornish College for the Arts.
