As part of Seattle's Live Theatre Week, Theater Schmeater will host an Open Rehearsal of its Late Night World Premiere production of Mamet Schmamet! Directed by Theater Schmeater Artistic Director David Gassner, Mamet Schmamet! will include 4 to 5 short plays selected from 65 scripts recently submitted by playwrights around the nation. Playwrights were asked to write a play that sounds like it could have been written by David Mamet, but has an unlikely setting for an actual Mamet play.
There is no need to RSVP, but seating is limited. The subject matter and language of the plays are adult-oriented, and children under the age of 16 should not attend unless accompanied by parents.
