DESCRIPTION

Some say Sam Shepard got a Pulitzer Prize for BURIED CHILD, because he didn’t get one for CURSE OF THE STARVING CLASS. In any event, add this to the canon of great American plays: A family comes apart at the seams as Father, Mother, Son and Daughter each fight tooth and nail for the survival of the family farm.

A staged reading of this explosive, ground breaking play (which includes the evocative stage direction, “Wesley unzips his fly, takes out his pecker, and starts pissing all over the [4-H] chart on the floor.”), will be directed by Aimee Bruneau and feature a cast of Seattle’s finest actors. A staged reading of CURSE OF THE STARVING CLASS by Sam Shepard is part of our Third Season we're calling “Our American Table.”

The reading will be followed by a brief discussion with the cast and director.

So no one will hesitate to attend for lack of funds, all performances are Pay What You Can.

The theater is for everyone. This is our theater. Our American Theater.
