DESCRIPTION

It's a post apocalyptic world and people are scrounging for food, shelter and...theatrical lighting. Three new short plays by local authors Bret Fetzer and Juliet Waller-Pruzan, Elizabeth Heffron, and Anthony Winkler explore themes of light-and-shadow, endurance, secrets, and hope, all performed within a World at End framework where where the survivors must reconstruct a new society from the barely functional remnants of a defunct civilization. To this end the entire production will be lit by actor-powered bicycle generators, candles, and hand-cranked flashlights, and will make use of live "Foley-style" sound effects and music created from found objects.

The project is headed by Annex's own Green Theatre technical director, Max Reichlin ("Small Town", "Tuesday", "The Secret Recordings of Lenin...") and directed by Ellie McKay ("Grand Guignol", "The Duchess of Malfi").

Seattle Fringe Rules! The three short plays that make up Keep The Light On are fast-paced and well-acted. Awesome date play -- awesome fringe venue! ...
