DESCRIPTION

For decades, Anne Frank has been embraced by the world as a symbol of all that was lost in the Holocaust. Today, the world also knows that she was fully what she dreamed of being: a great writer. Her words are an essential part of how we understand one of the darkest periods of human history. Filled with its young author’s extraordinary and luminous spirit, her “boundless desire for all that is beautiful and good,” Anne Frank’s diary illuminates her coming of age, and her belief in justice, hope and love even as she, her family and four others spent 25 months in hiding during World War II.
