DESCRIPTION

Mirror Stage Company ends its 07-08 Feed Your Mind season, sponsored in part by 4Culture, with GRIFFIN’S GARDEN by Seattle playwright Elena Hartwell. Performances will be Sunday, April 13 at 2:00pm, venue to be announced since Freehold lost its space, and Monday, April 14 at 7:00pm at the Richard Hugo House cabaret. Admission is $8. Half-price tickets available at the door for Senior Citizens and anyone under 25, with ID. GRIFFIN’S GARDEN features Justin Emerick, Ashley FitzSimmons and John Wray. A discussion with the artists follows the reading.

Nate Lessler is a Seattle Academy junior who participated in ACT Theatre's 2007 Young Playwrights Program. In ACT Theatre's Young Playwrights Program (YPP), professional playwright/teaching artists teach the basics of playwriting in Seattle-area schools in the fall quarter of the school year. Each student playwright completes an original play by the end of the session. Partnering with YPP for the first time, Mirror Stage Company selected an outstanding play to present as part of the Feed Your Mind series.

The Richard Hugo House is located at 1625 11th Ave between Pine & Olive on Capitol Hill. For more information, check Mirror Stage Company’s web site at www.mirrorstage.org.
