DESCRIPTION

To top off our second season with a bang, Emerald City Scene presents its most delicious experience yet: the world premiere of Nathaniel Porter's dark comedies, "The Shark" & "The Worm"! Showing April 11th to 27th, ECS has prepared a theatre experience, equal parts philosophy and decadence, that's sure to leave you buzzing.

"The Worm" is set along the riverbanks of Anywhere, U.S.A., as we find two seventy-year-old fisherman discussing the waters, ice cream, and what happens to use when we die. When Simon's fishing line pulls in a surprising catch, these country boys have to decide what's right, what's wrong, and what's inevitable. "The Worm" is cool as ice cream and
hot enough to turn milk bad five minutes out of the fridge.

If "The Worm" sinks us into the shallows, "The Shark" blows us right out of the water. Join, James & Mary, at the dinner table with their friends Tom & Sara. Relax as they relax. Sip wine as they sip wine.
Let the conversation wander beyond everyday chit-chat. And as they slowly drag each other's secrets out of the closet…you'll find out
what it feels like when a shark smells blood.

Showing for three weekends, April 11 to 27, "The Shark" & "The Worm" is as intimate as it gets, so check out the online preview and reserve your tickets before they're all gone!
