Shipwrecked in the land of Illyria, her twin brother lost at sea, Viola finds herself in the middle of a bizarre love triangle. Disguised as a boy, she is employed by Duke Orsino to deliver his message of love to Countess Olivia, who rejects Orsino and instead falls head over heels for his intriguing messenger. Love, mistaken identities, disguises, revenge, tomfoolery, sword fighting, passion, and music - sweet music, make Twelfth Night one of Shakespeare’s funniest and most complete comedies.

Celebrating 20 years of Free theatre, GreenStage is proud to present Shakespeare's greatest and most frequently quoted play. In our history, we have presented all but five of the plays in Shakespeare's canon, and with Hamlet we also reach our 50th production.
