Family Day Drama School
Presented by Theatre Puget Sound & Seattle Children’s Theatre

Theatre Puget Sound and Seattle Children’s Theatre join forces to bring your family high quality, innovative, participatory theatre arts workshops during Live Theatre Week. Sessions led in both English & Spanish will allow families to explore their creative side. Plus, participants will get a peek behind the scenes with a special tour of Seattle Children’s Theatre’s backstage, scene, prop and costume shops!

Reservations Required. Please call 206.770.0370 or e-mail tps@tpsonline.org.

Workshop options include:

STORY DRAMA
Ages 3-5
Experience a story from the inside. We will use acting, imagination, and interactive, multi-sensory props to explore Candace Fleming’s book Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!. Discover the excitement of drama and working as an ensemble while enjoying the best in children's literature.

This workshop will be presented in Spanish at 2pm and in English at 4:15pm.

IMAGINE ACTION: STORIES IN MOTION!
Grades 1-3
Live the story. Physicality and movement allow us to build storytelling and ensemble skills. We’ll create a unique ensemble piece based on one of our favorite stories.

Families have the choice between two sessions on Saturday, October 18:

Session One (Spanish Options) 2pm – 4pm

  • Registration 2pm
  • Tour 2:30pm (interpreted in Spanish)
  • Workshops 3 – 4pm (Story Drama in Spanish & Imagine Action in English)
