Demetri Martin is a person who lives in New York City. He does acting, stand-up comedy, and writing.

Demetri has performed in most English-speaking countries (not in South Africa or New Zealand, though). He won trophies for comedy in America, Scotland and Australia. He has appeared on late-night television shows, both onstage and in the audience.

Demetri has also done the following things: He was a staff writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He was a writer-performer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He made a comedy CD called These Are Jokes and a comedy DVD called Demetri Martin. Person. He was the lead actor in the film called Taking Woodstock for Focus Features. It will be released in August 2009.

Demetri wrote, produced and acted in a television series for Comedy Central. It is called Important Things with Demetri Martin. He is writing a book and screenplays.
