MORE ABOUT THEATRE
|
Sound Theatre Company was founded in 2006 with its inaugural production "Tempest on the Lake", a site-specific production of THE TEMPEST presented in the water and on the shore of Lake Samammish in Redmond, Washington. In Fall, 2007, STC presented the post-apocalyptic buddy tale THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF ANSE AND BHULE IN NO-MAN'S LAND by Tania Myren. In March, 2008, STC will mount Shakespeare's searing satire on sex and war, TROILUS AND CRESSIDA also in a site-specific setting in a former military naval hangar at Magnuson Park in Seattle.
We are considering a number of other site-specific Shakespeare presentations as well as contemporary plays which focus on understanding the role of language in our world politics and culture. STC would also like to produce provocative musicals in the future.
SCT does not have it's own performance or rehearsals space and rents space appropriate to each production. |
