MISSION STATEMENT
Theatre 9/12 is for trained actors who want to develop their talents and skills through workshop and performance.

Workshops are selected specifically for the Seattle working actor and taught by credentialed professionals. Productions are designed to stretch performers against type or through roles not available to them in professional theatre, and serve audiences through thought-provoking plays having urgent and relevant themes.
MORE ABOUT THEATRE
9/12 -- the first day of this era.

After the shock, every creative artist was summoned to fulfill the traditional responsibility of lifting humanity to understand this new time, make order of perceived chaos, reassess complacent values, and let go of the past to embrace a progressive step forward.

As a teaching theatre, 9/12 actors will unite traditional acting styles fathered by Stanislavsky with modern techniques developed through generations of disciples. The early abandoned experiments with affective memory and emotional recall will not be used, favoring rather the emphasis on creative imagination, physical embodiment of the given circumstances, manifestation of the plays largest themes, and affective inspiration chosen to stimulate passion.

Productions coming out of this collaboration will aim to serve this new era.
