MORE ABOUT THEATRE
|
The Young Americans’ Theatre Company was founded in March 2008, to provide opportunities for young artists to be involved with theatre outside the influence of traditional educational environments. YATC premiered with a double bill of On The Edge by Craig Pospisil along with Jonathan Marc Sherman's Women and Wallace in August 2008. Women and Wallace was voted Best Play of 2008 by Teen Tix while YATC was honored as Best New Troupe of 2008 with a Seattle Times Footlight Award. Its second season introduced Past Curfew, the only professional, annual, and teenage one-act festival in Seattle. YATC plans to produce a festival of one-acts and a full-length play each summer, with additional readings and projects throughout the school year.
The Young American's Theatre Company was founded by Hattie Andres, Zoey Belyea, Tommy Fleming, Emma Kelley, Chelsea Taylor, and Sam Tilles. |
