DESCRIPTION

Shining City
by Conor MacPherson
Conor McPherson's (The Weir, St. Nicholas) new play is set in a Dublin therapist's office. John, a middle-aged businessman, has never considered therapy before, but finds himself in desperate need of help. He claims to have seen the ghost of his recently deceased wife. As it turns out, John is the first patient of Ian, a former priest who left the church due to a crisis of faith. What begins as an awkward encounter becomes a struggle for understanding that will shape and define both men for the rest of their lives.

"...quiet, haunting and absolutely glorious." New York Times
