Managing Event Listings
Who can add events to SeattlePerforms.com?
You must be an organizational member of our parent company, Theatre Puget Sound (TPS). Complete details on TPS membership can be found here.
I am a TPS member and would like to add our event. What are the steps involved in doing that?
If you are posting on behalf of a TPS Organizational Member log in to Seattleperforms.com using the same organizational password you use on TPSOnline.org website. Do NOT sign up for a new SeattlePerforms.com account. If you are a self-producing Individual Member, contact with your performace information. TPS Staff will vet postings on an individual basis.
We/I do not have a "My Events" link after signing in.
The
"My Events" link will only show if you are a current Theatre Puget
Sound Organizational member in good standing. If your TPS membership is current and you have signed in using the same login as your organization's TPSOnline.org account and the
"My Events" link is still not there, please contact the webmaster
We added our event, but it is not showing up in the calendar
You must add BOTH the event details AND individual dates for the event.
This
is a common mistake. Although you may have put in the dates such as
opening and closing when submitting your event, you need to add the
actual event dates separately. To add dates:
Click 'My Events'
Click 'Edit' next to the event you are adding dates to
Click the 'Add Dates' tab
Add ALL the dates for your event
Promote your special event on SeattlePerforms.com!
From time to time multiple events are part of larger events like Live Theatre Week or the TPS Bumbershoot Stage
Follow the instructions below to include your event in results for larger events. In this example we will use 'Live Theatre Week 2006'
Click 'My Events'
If your Live Theatre Week 2006 event is not already in the SeattlePerforms.com calendar, click the 'Add a New Event' button and add your event.
Under the 'My Events' section, click 'edit' next to your LTW 2006 event
Click the tab 'Special Event' (last tab on the right)
In the 'Special Event Type' pulldown choose 'Live Theatre Week 2006'^^
Type any details about special offers, discounts, etc in the 'Details' box
Click the button 'Save Special Event Details'
After you follow the instructions above, your event will now be included in all pages pertaining to Live Theatre Week 2006.
^^take care NOT to select 'Live Theatre Week 2005'
